Us Weekly is reporting that Bradley Cooper and Renee Zellweger have called it quits after less than two years together. Reps for both actors had no comment.
The couple has been famously tight-lipped about their relationship, but last year they both opened up to "Entertainment Tonight" about how much they loved working together on the 2010 horror-thriller "Case 39."
"Can't say enough about her," Cooper said. "I never met her before this movie, but I just love her. I love coming to work. I love acting with her. I can learn so much from her."
"I just got so excited, not believing that I was going to go to work with him," Zellweger said.
Last summer the couple shot down engagement rumors.
Cooper wed Jennifer Esposito in 2006 and they split after four months together. Zellweger was married to Kenny Chesney for four months in 2005.

Sandra Bullock Gets Restraining Order Against Thomas James Weldon

LOS ANGELES — A judge granted Sandra Bullock a three-year restraining order Friday against a man who has a history of stalking her and allegedly traveled cross-country to try to meet the actress after being released from a mental hospital.
Thomas James Weldon was ordered to refrain from trying to contact the actress or Louis Bardo Bullock, an infant boy the Academy Award-winner is in the process of adopting.
The restraining order also protects the children of Bullock's ex-husband Jesse James. The children occasionally stay with the actress.
Bullock first obtained a restraining order against Weldon in 2003. The order was extended but expired last year because Weldon was being held in a Tennessee mental hospital.
After his release earlier this year, he traveled to Wyoming in an alleged attempt to meet the actress, according to Bullock's attorney Ed McPherson.
Weldon was committed indefinitely to a state mental hospital in Wyoming on Tuesday.
"It's obvious that this fixation on her has not changed despite seven years in the hospital in Tennessee," McPherson said.
Bullock did not attend Friday's hearing.

We did an actual gasp when we saw that Emma Watson had posted this, um, interesting picture of herself on her Twitter. Obviously, she’s an incredibly beautiful person and if anyone can pull it off, it’s her, but we still think it wasn’t perhaps the best idea.
Emma wrote on Facebook: “Dear all. Cut my hair off a few days ago... Feels incredible. I love it. I've wanted to do this for years and years; it's the most liberating thing ever. Hope you like. Big love from Emma x”
We can see that Emma was probably wanting to get away from her Harry Potter days, but did she not learn from Victoria Beckham's pixie crop? Give it a couple of weeks and Emma will be praying there’s some sort of magic potion to make her look like a girl again.

LEIDSCHENDAM, Netherlands — Naomi Campbell testified before the war crimes tribunal Thursday, confirming that she had received some "dirty-looking stones" after a dinner with former Liberian ruler Charles Taylor but stopping short of saying they were diamonds or that she was given the gift by Taylor himself.

Campbell was being questioned in Taylor's war crimes trial about claims made by actress Mia Farrow that Taylor gave the model an uncut diamond or diamonds after a dinner party hosted by Nelson Mandela that they all attended in South Africa in 1997.

Prosecutors say, if true, the story would provide evidence that Taylor traded guns to neighboring Sierra Leone rebels in exchange for uncut diamonds – sometimes known as "blood diamonds" during that country's 1992-2002 civil war.

The British model said on the stand Thursday she was awakened in the middle of the night after the September 1997 dinner party by two black men at her door. She said they offered her a pouch they said was a gift for her with no further explanation.

She said she frequently receives gifts from admirers and didn't look at it until the following morning.

"I saw a few stones in there. And they were small dirty-looking stones," she said.

She said, at breakfast the following day, either Farrow or Campbell's former agent Carole White had told her the rocks must be diamonds and were probably a gift from Taylor. Campbell said she then gave them to a friend, Jeremy Ratcliffe, who at the time was the director of Mandela's children's charity.

The supermodel, who had fought hard to avoid testifying, arrived at the courthouse in Leidschendam surrounded by a police escort. In contrast to her usual edgy fashion style, she wore a demure cream two-piece outfit and her hair was piled up into a classic chignon.

Entering the courtroom fashionably late – several minutes after she was first summoned to take the stand – Campbell was calm and composed as she quickly answered questions from prosecutor Brenda Hollis.

"I didn't really want to be here," she said. "I just want to get this over with and get on with my life."

Prosecutors say from his seat of power in Liberia, Taylor armed, trained and commanded Sierra Leone rebels who murdered and mutilated thousands of civilians across the border. Taylor says he is innocent of the 11 war crimes charges he faces, including murder, rape, sexual enslavement and recruiting child soldiers.

Defense attorney Courtenay Griffiths got Campbell to testify that alternate versions of the event given to prosecutors by Farrow and White were wrong. He said White has suggested Campbell was seated next to Taylor at the dinner and flirted with him.

White is enmeshed in a legal dispute with Campbell.

"This is a woman who has a power motive to lie about you?" Courtenay asked.

"Correct," Campbell answered, with a slight smile. She said she sat between Mandela, who she idolized, and music producer Quincy Jones.

Campbell had declined to cooperate with prosecutors until judges last month ordered her to appear or face a maximum sentence of seven years for contempt.

Hollis, the prosecutor, asked why Campbell had been so reluctant to appear before the war crimes tribunal.

"This is someone that I read up on the Internet that killed thousands of people supposedly and I don't want my family in any danger in any way," Campbell said.

Griffiths angrily objected that was "totally irrelevant" to her testimony.

The hot-tempered Campbell, 40, is no stranger to courtrooms, having faced a series of minor lawsuits and criminal cases over the years.

In June 2008 she pleaded guilty in an incident where she cursed, kicked and spat at police at London's Heathrow airport in a rage over a missing piece of luggage. She was sentenced to 200 hours of community service for that.

Campbell also did a week of community service sweeping floors and scrubbing toilets in a Manhattan garbage-truck garage in 2007 after pleading guilty to misdemeanor assault for hurling a cell phone at her maid because of a vanished pair of jeans.

In 2000, Campbell pleaded guilty in Toronto to an assault charge for beating an assistant who said the model whacked her on the head with a phone.

A few of Campbell's former aides and maids have sued her, accusing her of violent outbursts; some cases have been settled on undisclosed terms.

Campbell became one of the world's highest-paid models after being discovered while shopping in London at age 15.

Probably her most high-profile role to date, Blunt plays a dancer opposite Matt Damon. 'I had to learn to do ballet for the role, which was terrifying - you can't really get away with half-assing it,' she says. 'There's something very exposing about dancing in front of people. It's like asking someone to look you in the eye and sing without any sense of irony. It's that embarrassing. She takes a long, indulgent drag of her ('dangerously delicious') Dr Funk. 'This is my weekend of revenge on the diet I've had to be on for the re-shoots,' she says. 'Last night I had steamed pork buns that made me want to weep. I feel like I'm just emerging from a food coma.' Damon, she adds, derived immense glee from not being the one having to do all of the rigorous bodywork for a film. 'After Bourne and Invictus, he was like, "Just for once, I don't have to go to the gym, so I'm going to eat burgers in front of you and you're going to have to deal with it.'"
On her childhood stutter:
Growing up in the smart London suburb of Roehampton (her father an accomplished barrister; her mother a former actress), Blunt developed a stutter at the age of seven, which was 'awful, absolutely awful', she remembers. 'You feel like there's an imposter living inside of you who is misrepresenting who you really are. You don't want to be accepted for being that person but at the same time you do, and you don't want people to finish your sentences, yet you breathe a sigh of relief when someone does.' She overcame it after a teacher suggested she try speaking in different accents for a drama class ('I spoke fluidly for the first time in my life in some northern English accent, probably the hokiest you've ever heard') - though she says she still gets caught out occasionally when making phone calls. 'It's very common for stutterers to not be able to say their own name, and when someone asks who's calling, I'll be like, "F***!"'

She insists, however, that she did not spend the time planning her wedding to Krasinski, though the rumour mill maintains there will be confetti flying within the next few weeks. 'Ha!' she snorts at the question. 'It's not my style to be much of a planner, so I don't even know really when it's happening. I'm sure it's going to be small, easy-going and last minute.' She flashes a grin as bright as the platinum-and-gigantic-diamond ring on her left hand. 'But you'll see... soon!'
On airbrushing and dressing for the red carpet:
Blunt, it seems, does strive to keep it real. She's not keen on too much airbrushing ('I don't like it when they stretch you out and make you all long and skinny. It makes you look like a Barbie. Who the hell looks like that?') and though she likes fashion, remains somewhat wary. 'I think I tend to dress quite hard. I'm definitely not a frilly girl and I don't wear dresses that much,' she says. She does employ a stylist, but insists that she makes the final decision: 'When it's a red carpet thing, I think it's good to just go for it. Who cares if someone hates it? Demi Moore Gets Defensive About Her New Diet

After doing the Master Cleanse with her husband earlier this month, Demi Moore moved immediately into another "healthier" diet.
On Monday a fan asked Demi how many days she had stuck to the Master Cleanse, which involves consuming nothing but lemon juice, cayenne pepper and maple syrup.
"Only 4 but 2day's day 13 4me on The Clean Program! http://j.mp/a6N7qm RT @MirandaMartinez day 30 of Master Cleanse! How many days did u do?" she tweeted.
The Clean Program is the creation of Dr. Alejandro Junger, who helped Giuliana Rancic and Gwyneth Paltrow lose weight. It is a 21-day regimen of smoothies, and salads for dinner are allowed.
When one of Demi's followers politely said she was not interested in the Clean Program because "healthy diet & exercise are all that's required," Demi got defensive.
"@chazzyb31 I think you need to research what it is I am doing there is no starving involved! It is all about nourishing the body!" she tweeted. And: "@ElenorRigby yeah I think she doesn't know what she is talking about!"
Later a fan asked Demi for tips on getting through the Master Cleanse, and Demi admitted there are healthier things than the severe diet she just two weeks ago declared was "all about health!!!"

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti — Singer Wyclef Jean is considering a run for president of Haiti but has not decided whether to seek a five-year term as leader of the quake-ravaged nation, the musician's family said Monday.
There have been rumors for some time the Haitian-born entertainer might enter the 2010 presidential contest, ever since his 2007 appointment as ambassador-at-large for the Caribbean nation by President Rene Preval, who cannot seek re-election.
In a statement e-mailed to reporters, the family said, "Wyclef's commitment to his homeland and its youth is boundless, and he will remain its greatest supporter regardless of whether he is part of the government moving forward ... If and when a decision is made, media will be alerted immediately."
The letter was signed "The Jean Family." A spokeswoman for the musician confirmed the message's authenticity.
Jean, 37, was born on the outskirts of Port-au-Prince but left the hemisphere's poorest country as a child and grew up in New York City's borough of Brooklyn.
He told The Associated Press in a recent interview he intended to be involved in the Nov. 28 election, but not necessarily as a candidate.
"Do I have political intentions? At this time no. But what I do have is a movement – it's called Face a Face, 'Face to Face'," Jean said. "The youth population ... we are going to encourage them to vote."
The singer has been active in recent years in raising money through his Yele Haiti Foundation. The organization was widely criticized for alleged financial irregularities after the Jan. 12 quake, when scrutiny revealed it had paid Jean to perform at fundraising events and bought advertising air time from a television station he co-owns.
The organization hired a new accounting firm after the allegations surfaced.
Jean, who said he voted for Preval in 2006, would not have an easy road as a candidate. Haitian elections are contentious and often violent.
Dozens of candidates are expected to declare themselves by the Aug. 7 deadline. Preval's opponents have threatened to block the Nov. 28 vote if he does not replace the presidentially approved electoral council, which he has refused to do.
To enter the race, Jean would have to prove he has resided in Haiti for five consecutive years, own property in the country and have never been a citizen of any country other than Haiti.
Whoever wins will face the gargantuan task of rebuilding a country devastated by the Jan. 12 earthquake. Haiti has not had a functioning economy in decades and its presidents have only rarely completed a constitutional five-year term – more typically being overthrown, getting assassinated, declaring themselves "president-for-life" or some combination of the three.

Stage-managed: Though Kate Winslet and Sam Mendes share parenting duties, they manage to avoid each other

Late afternoon in Chelsea, New York, and a scruffy-looking man, prematurely greying and carrying bundles of scripts, hurries from an apartment block. Accompanied by a two female assistants, he leaves in a black car.
Not more than three minutes later, his estranged wife arrives, driving herself in an Audi. With her blonde hair in a pony-tail, she passes unnoticed into the building.
The woman is Oscar-winning actress Kate Winslet, and the man she has so neatly avoided is her soon-to-be ex-husband, Sam Mendes.
Day after day, they repeat this pattern. Their timing is so impeccable that it's clear their entrances and exits are being stage-managed.
Indeed, although they continue to share parenting duties to children Mia and Joe, and each have apartments in the same block, they pretty much manage to avoid seeing each other at all.
When the end of their marriage was announced in March, the two of them were, again, quite deliberately nowhere near each other. Kate was on a break-up holiday with her close friend Emma Thompson and the children in Mexico.
Sam, meanwhile, was spotted dining with an attractive female companion on Los Angeles.
So, five months on, what are they both doing? And, as rumours of new romantic interests swirl, what is the truth about the end of their marriage?
Kate, who was pictured yesterday looking youthful and fresh-faced as she filmed an advert in Italy, is planning a career reinvention.
Later this year, she will be making a big-budget romantic comedy which could see her break out of her niche as a serious Oscar-winning actress and into a more lucrative bracket as America's Sweetheart.

She is also doing television work - again higher profile and lower brow. And almost ever since returning from Mexico, Kate has been working in New York on a TV adaptation of the James M. Cain depression era novel Mildred Pierce.
Expectations are high for the project, and magazine Entertainment Weekly said: 'Just give her the Emmy now!'
Daily, she has left the three-bedroom apartment overlooking the Hudson river which was the marital home, early in the morning, and been driven to film in various locations, mainly Glen Cove on Long Island, around an hour away.
The novel is set in Los Angeles, but director Todd Haynes has agreed to film near New York so that Kate can spend time with her children.

Sam Mendes, most famous as the director of American Beauty, has waited for her to leave before entering the building to take Mia, nine (Kate's daughter by first husband, Jim Threapleton) and their son, Joe, six, to school each day.
They attend a private primary school in Greenwich Village half a mile away and tend to walk there. Kate, generally, is there to pick them up in the afternoons - which is when Sam leaves his apartment, which he uses as his office.
When they first split, he was living there, but now he has rented a new place in the city. But why are they taking such care not to see each other?
Local gossips are convinced Sam has at least one new romantic relationship on the go. The stunning, cerebral brunette, British actress Rebecca Hall, with whom he was linked earlier this year, insists that it is not her.
The two spent a lot of time together while working on a play, and Kate was said to have tired of his closeness to Ms Hall.
It was even reported last month that Rebecca and Sam were on the point of 'going public' with their romance.

Rolling back the years: Kate looks slim and fresh-faced as she films in Italy

Rebecca demurs, however. 'I did not have sexual relations,' she told an interviewer last week. 'It's the weirdest thing and it's all a load of *******s. He's a good mate.'
One Los-Angeles-based friend tells me that he's seen Sam out and about with a blonde - who is not Kate. While another says: 'If I did know about a new romance, I would not tell you,' which rather makes you think that he has moved on.
How about Shakespearean actress Juliet Rylance, whose name was also linked with Sam's in the spring? Her husband, actor Christian Camargo, thinks not. Said Camargo, who lives in New York with his wife: 'It's absolute gossip.' Not her, then.
However it would surprise no one if there was a new woman, as Mendes has a reputation as a true ladies' man - he was once described as the commitment-phobe's commitment-phobe.

He astonished his friends by getting wed in the first place, having spent years avoiding matrimony. 'I don't believe in marriage,' he told an interviewer. 'People from broken homes just don't buy it. The idea of a marriage fills me with dread.'
He added only last year that the greatest 'risk' he had ever taken was getting married and having children.
As for Kate, she seems to be focused only on work and on keeping the ship steady for the sake of the children.

To her credit, she remains a hands-on mum. Filming had to be halted in May when Kate was struck in the face by a basketball while playing with the children outside her trailer.
She suffered bruising which could not be adequately disguised by make-up. There will be more family time this summer.

Mendes will be at a slightly loose end as the Bond movie he was to have directed has been postponed owing to budget problems. He is going to spend a few weeks in Gloucestershire with the children at the Grade II listed property which he and Kate spent a fortune on in the early years of their marriage.
Ironically, it is only now ready to be used after a £1.5 million programme of refurbishment. Kate will also spend a few weeks there with the children, and she and Sam will coincide for a couple of days of handover.
Both have family nearby: Sam's mum lives in Reading, as do Kate's parents and two sisters. The two will not, contrary to reports last weekend, be trying to put their marriage back together while on holiday in Britain.

Both acknowledge it is well past the point of repair. Indeed, Kate was upset by inaccurate reports of their intentions, as she worries that the children might read what has been written and gain some false hope that their parents are about to reunite.
A long-standing friend of the pair tells me: 'The relationship is not going in the direction of a reunion at all, in fact it's quite the opposite.
'They are trying to deal with the break-up with dignity as privately as they can. They remain committed to the children and will be spending a limited amount of time together this holiday when one is dropping the children off, and so on, but that is all.
'To be crystal clear, there is no reunion, and there's no chance of a reunion.'
Another associate is less categorical, but says: 'Kate has gone very quiet as she has been so busy, but she never mentions getting back together with Sam, or the possibility of it.'
The legal aspects of the divorce are said to be advancing, and it seems Kate Winslet will have shed a second husband by the age of 34. She seems to be hoping to repeat the 'perfect divorce' from Jim Threapleton, which saw no wrangling over money or property, and a confidentiality agreement on both sides to prevent any washing of dirty linen in public.
Over the coming months, Sam will be spending more time in the UK as he works on the Old Vic productions of The Tempest and As You Like It - part of the Bridge Project which unites theatrical talents from both sides of the pond.

'Perfect divorce': There was no wrangling over money or property when Kate and her first husband Jim Threapleton separated

Kate is also returning to the professional fray. She took time off to be with the children when Joe was small, and also barely worked as she attempted to nurse her ailing marriage.
Now that it has failed, she is back as never before. Her next film is an adaptation of the hit chick-lit novel Which Brings Me To You - a book filled with letters from two would-be lovers to each other.
The characters are both in their late 20s and toying with the idea of settling down. It says something for her confidence that she is happy to 'play young'.
Her co-star will be Bradley Cooper, who has quite a reputation as a ladykiller. He dated Jennifer Aniston after meeting her on the set of He's Just Not That Into You and then ditched her for Renee Zellweger, with whom he now lives.
People who know Kate say she is feeling positive and happy about life, hence her bold new direction. And she is glad she and Sam have sorted out a way to parent the children without living in each other's pockets.
As she said: 'I can take any s*** you can fling at me. I come from a long line of real carthorses. Very stoic, insides-made-of-iron people.'
But lucky for Kate, her divorce is working out to be rather smoother than anyone could have expected.

'Harry Potter' actress Afshan Azad's father and brother have been charged with attempting to kill her in their Manchester home, according to the BBC.
Afshan, 22, plays Padma Patil, a classmate to Harry, Ron, and Hermione in the 'Harry Potter' films. Her father, Abdul Azad, 54, and brother Ashraf, 28, appeared in court Tuesday for threatening to kill her. Ashraf is also charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm against his sister. The case was adjourned until July 12.
According to People, the attack was perhaps motivated because "her family, who are Muslim, did not approve of her relationship with a Hindu man."
The attack reportedly happened May 21. Afshan had never acted before the 'Harry Potter' films.

Andrew Garfield, whose credits include last year's Heath Ledger film "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus," has been cast as Peter Parker, the average youth who transforms into a superhero, in the next "Spider-Man" movie, distributor Sony Pictures announced Thursday.
The as-yet-untitled "Spider-Man" film begins shooting in December and is due in theaters July 3, 2012. Marc Webb, who made the romance "(500) Days of Summer" is directing.
Garfield and Webb got the jobs after star Tobey Maguire and director Sam Raimi, who made three blockbuster "Spider-Man" films together, departed amid story and scheduling issues over a fourth movie.
"Though his name may be new to many, those who know this young actor's work understand his extraordinary talents," Webb said. "He has a rare combination of intelligence, wit, and humanity. Mark my words, you will love Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker."
Among Garfield's other credits are director David Fincher's upcoming "The Social Network," about the founders of Facebook, and Keira Knightley and Carey Mulligan's upcoming drama, "Never Let Me Go." Garfield also starred in the acclaimed British drama "Boy A."
Garfield was born in the United States, but was raised in England.
"In the Spider-Man tradition, we were looking for a smart, sensitive, and cool new Peter Parker who can inspire us and make us laugh, cry, and cheer," said Avi Arad, one of the producers on the "Spider-Man" franchise. LOS ANGELES — Mel Gibson's breakup from Russian singer Oksana Grigorieva was supposed to be a quiet affair, but a confidential settlement and sealed court case haven't kept the former couple's troubles from hitting the spotlight.

The latest flare-up began last week when Grigorieva apparently named Gibson in a child custody case, which is sealed and will likely remain out of the public domain.

The seal hasn't kept the breakup out of headlines, though, continuing Gibson's streak in recent years of making news more for his personal life than his film career.

On Monday, the actor-director's attorney issued a statement revealing that the couple in May reached a custody agreement for their 7-month-old daughter, Lucia.

The contents of that pact were confidential, but attorney Stephen Kolodny accused the 40-year-old Grigorieva of violating its terms.

He said the actor has paid Grigorieva "tens of thousands of dollars," is providing his daughter with health insurance and a nanny and has bought a lavish home and a car for his ex-girlfriend.

Kolodny's statement said Gibson's payments to Grigorieva will change, but he did not indicate how.

"Mel has generously supported Lucia and will continue to do so," the statement said.

Grigorieva, who met Gibson while he was filming "Edge of Darkness," told The Associated Press that she could not discuss the case.

The singer denied online reports, however, that Gibson obtained a restraining order against her. Her attorney, Marci Levine, did not return calls and an e-mail seeking comment Tuesday.

A person close to Gibson said one of the main issues of the case was the Australian-American writer-director's access to his daughter. The person was not authorized to speak publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity.

Kolodny said the agreement called for the couple's daughter to spend about half her time with Gibson.

Gibson's wife of 28 years, Robyn, cited irreconcilable differences for their split last April. That case is ongoing, but it has not generated the attention of Gibson's split with Grigorieva.

Most of that case has been handled in private with few documents filed publicly.

Grigorieva and Gibson were frequently photographed together when their relationship became public after the actor-director's wife filed for divorce last year. Grigorieva also has a son from her relationship with British actor Timothy Dalton, who played James Bond in two films.

Gibson confirmed Grigorieva was pregnant with his eighth child to Jay Leno on "The Tonight Show" last May.

The couple's relationship represented the re-emergence of Gibson, 54, after several years of shunning the public eye. Before the release of "Edge of Darkness" this year, Gibson's last starring role in a film had been in 2002's "Signs."

He directed two films since then, the surprise blockbuster "The Passion of the Christ" in 2004 and the violent Mayan action flick "Apocalypto" in 2006.

It was in that year that Gibson was arrested and charged with drunken driving. He later apologized for making a slew of anti-Semitic remarks, saying he had battled alcoholism for all of his adult life. He complied with all the terms of the probation he was given in the case, and his conviction was expunged last year.

Gibson won an Academy Award in 1995 for directing "Braveheart," which also won that year's best picture Oscar.

He has since split time between acting and directing. This year's "Edge of Darkness" grossed an estimated $45 million at the domestic box office, very different from blockbusters of his action star heyday.

He is slated to appear next in the offbeat comedy "The Beaver," which co-stars and is directed by Gibson's longtime friend, Jodie Foster.

TMZ broke the story ... Oksana obtained a restraining order against Gibson last Monday, which prohibits him from coming within 100 yards of her.

Oksana's attorneys would not comment about the case, but did say, "The true facts will be brought out in a court of law. Oksana will continue to abide by the ethical obligations and rules arising from a confidential paternity action and will let the court decide the issue in this matter."

The superstar singer was horrified when it was alleged last year that Matthew had an 18-month affair with 38-year-old Alexsandra Wright and DNA tests confirmed he'd fathered her son, Nixon, while still married to Beyoncé's mother, Tina Knowles.
Now, sources tell Page Six that relations between Beyoncé, who is very close to her mom, and her father have reached such a low point that executives at her label, Columbia, are worried.

Jennifer lost her extra weight by hiring a personal trainer and working out five times a week.
She now limits herself to 1,500 calories a day and her work outs involve 50 minutes on the cross-trainer followed by 20 minutes of weight training.
Transforming her figure has also had a positive effect on her self-esteem.
'I'm a much healthier eater and I love exercising,' she told People magazine.
'I enjoy the junk food more because I'm not eating it all the time. I'm trying to feel more confident in general.'

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart have tied the knot – in a wedding presided over by New Mexico's governor.

Gov. Bill Richardson confirmed to The Associated Press on Wednesday that the couple, who have been together for several years and got engaged last year, were married at the governor's mansion in Santa Fe.

Ford's publicist, Ina Treciokas, confirmed the nuptials Wednesday.

Richardson presided over the ceremony Tuesday afternoon at the mansion on a hilltop along the northern edge of Santa Fe. Richardson has played host at the mansion to Spanish royalty, North Korean diplomats and other Hollywood stars, but this marked the first wedding there during his tenure.

Richardson isn't ordained so he had some help from New Mexico Supreme Court Chief Justice Charles Daniels to make Ford and Flockhart's union official.

The governor and his staff were tightlipped about details of the ceremony, saying it was "a private matter."

Ford and Flockhart's marriage was first reported by celebrity website TMZ.com.

Known best to moviegoers as Han Solo or Indiana Jones, Ford's career has spanned both acting and producing. In 1986, he was nominated for an Oscar for "Witness" and was named Harvard's Hasty Pudding Man of the Year a decade later. He also won lifetime achievement honors from the American Film Institute in 2000 and the Cecil B. DeMille Award at the Golden Globes in 2002.

His most recent project is "Cowboys and Aliens," a sci-fi thriller he is starring in along with Daniel Craig. Filming started in New Mexico this month.

"I'm not trying to be 'slutty,'" said Cyrus in a recent interview. "I'm not trying to be like, go to the club and get a bunch of guys ... What I'm trying to do is to make a point with my record and look consistent, in the way my record sounds and the way I dress."

What she wears has been put under the spotlight recently. Some thought the video for "Can't Be Tamed" was too provocative, and others have criticized her for revealing too much skin in her outfits.

Cyrus admits to being partial to shorts and hot pants. But she sees nothing wrong with flashing her legs.

"I'm really comfortable with my body, I work really hard to be fit and to know that I can wear whatever makes me most comfortable. I feel more comfortable dressing with a little less, which is just how I've always been," she said.

"Now I'm able to do that a little more freely and, also, I've just grown up to be this way too. It's not like this was me five years ago. It's me now, presently."

Maturing is Cyrus' current mission.

She'll finally shed the blonde wig of her Disney pop star persona, "Hannah Montana," when it ends this year. Then Cyrus will be free to embrace her solo stardom and sex appeal.

There have been a number of high-profile celebrity affairs making headlines over the past few months that previously would have elicited from me only a cursory voyeuristic glance.
Yet now I find myself increasingly drawn to each revelation, and the resulting online discussions about what a wronged wife should do in such circumstances.
The most recent stories concern cheating pop star Ronan Keating and his wife Yvonne. This week, the pair appeared to be attempting to make a fresh start by moving into a new family home.

This follows Yvonne's comments last week that she's finding forgiving 'an emotionally attached' affair - as opposed to a one-night stand - extremely difficult.
And from personal experience, I can tell you it is difficult.
I know some will think me weak, or in possession of very little self worth, for sticking by my husband - a man who has lied to me, betrayed me and broken our marriage vows.
But I am neither. Until faced with such a situation, let me tell you, it's impossible to predict how you will react.
I believe that you can forgive an affair that has gone way beyond a 'drunken one-night stand' (not that this scenario is any less painful), but to do so takes a great deal of work, and pain along the way.
It means facing up to some harsh truths about your relationship, and accepting that maybe you are also partly to blame.
Before you flinch at that, until a year ago I would have thought I'd show a philandering husband the door without a second thought. The problem is that theoretical situations don't equate to the reality of a shared 20-year loving and affectionate history, and the bringing up of children together.

I was 22 when I met my husband at the public transport company where we both worked. We started going for drinks after work, and I quickly fell for his intelligent wit and shy demeanour - attributes that I'd almost entirely forgotten by the time I found out about his affair.
It was last October that, like Yvonne Keating (and probably many others), I stumbled across emails and texts between my husband and a ghost from his past.
My suspicions had been aroused over the previous months by his increasingly furtive behaviour and almost pathological addiction to Facebook. He took advantage of my disdain for the social networking site - a site that, in my view, thrives on 'living-in-the-past fantasy' situations - to rekindle a friendship with a woman he had known 25 years previously.

The woman in question was known to me as the same one he had admired from afar during his lovelorn teenage college years. We had openly discussed our past loves, or in his case 'never-had-beens'.
When he mentioned in passing that he had 'found' her on Facebook, I dismissed the warning light that instinctively switched on in my head as unfounded paranoia.
At that point, I trusted my husband implicitly and probably took our relationship a little bit for granted.
But over time, I did start to resent the time Facebook was clawing away from me and our 18-year-old son and nine-year-old daughter. When I pushed him to explain his changing behaviour, he talked ominously about depression and suicidal thoughts.

I was horrified and, if I'm honest, intensely irritated. I felt he was acting like some victimised drama queen.
So I ignored his growing despondency and resentment over his daily commute to an IT job he no longer liked, conveniently forgetting that I had been the one to instigate a move from London to the South Coast several years before.
The result was that my husband became more introverted and increasingly difficult to live with. In response, I became more shrew-like and began going out more often with female friends.

At the time, ironically, I thought I was being magnanimous, giving him time and space to work through a typical midlife crisis. But looking back, I realise it was self-preservation.
I was feeling bewildered and lonely, finding his preference for online communication and pursuit of solo sports (he was running and swimming every day), rather than spending time with the children and me, hurtful.
The way it came into the open was typically us: me proactive, him passive. Suspicions heightened, I had signed on to Facebook solely to be his 'friend', so that I could view his profile.
It took a week for him to accept me as a friend - plenty of time to clear his Facebook account of any incriminating emails or posts. And therein lay his undoing.
When I eventually perused his backdated posts, there was only one benign one from her, dated April. It was then September. So I questioned how he knew so much about her current life: single parenthood, son's name, illnesses, current location etc, which he couldn't help intermittently dropping into conversations.

If there was no open Facebook contact, as he insisted, the only possible explanation was private communication. He, naturally, denied this. But it took only a few clicks into his email account (being a man, he hadn't changed his password for years) to reveal impassioned outpourings between the two of them.
My first thought was disbelief. I couldn't accept that the Jane Austen-style prose criss-crossing the Ethernet came from my self-deprecating, slightly cynical husband. It was like some historically displaced love affair, full of repressed 'I want to but I shouldn't' type yearnings.

And when I finally confronted him, his instinct was to lie. Indeed, the confession was piecemeal and protracted. Each time I put forward another piece of evidence (train tickets showing his trips to her town, or emails between them), he admitted a little more, very reluctantly, usually with me screaming and crying, and him stonewalling.
When asked why he couldn't just own up to the whole affair immediately, he said that he 'hadn't wanted to hurt me any more than necessary'. It was laughable.
What followed is still much of a blur to me, but in the first two weeks my weight plummeted. The thought of them together made me feel physically sick, and I couldn't eat.
I contacted the other woman twice by email. What I couldn't understand was how a woman, herself a single mother, could possibly want to break up someone else's family. She, of course, did not respond.

I turned to my amazing network of female friends. Their reaction was unanimous: while acknowledging that my husband had behaved idiotically, they all thought our relationship was worth fighting for.
One friend, who had been through a similar situation years before, advised me that I should try to keep him in the family home, even if it was in separate rooms for a time, as geographical distance would exacerbate the emotional distance. These turned out to be wise words.
It goes without saying that there were many arguments, and each day another piece of crockery took the brunt of it. I kept telling him to go and live with her if he felt like that, and even threatened one night to call the police to have the locks changed; but he refused to go. Deep down, I was glad. I knew how destructive it would be to us to separate when so much bitterness and resentment remained unresolved.
Instead, after three weeks of little sleep, I told him that he 'owed' us at least the six months he had spent wooing her to see if we could get our relationship back on track.
Initially, he paid this lip service, but I knew he was still in contact with her. He tried to make me out to be unreasonable for requesting that all contact stop. I really think he thought he could still have it all - me at home with the kids and the family support network, and her as his lover and 'muse'.
If it wasn't so tragic, it would have been laughable. Actually I do remember laughing several times, not through humour but hysterical incredulity - especially when he started to talk about it being 2009 and people having 'all sorts of alternative living arrangements'.
I think, initially, I had tip-toed around a little, not wanting to push him out with ultimatums; but after six weeks I took a stand. He had to cease all contact with her, or pack his case and leave permanently.
Two days later, he told me he had phoned her and explained this. Although he didn't go into detail, he said her reaction was bitter. Understandable, I expect, if she thought somehow she was on a promise.
But where did we go from there? First, I got him to agree to come to Relate.
It was there that he told me that he had always been in love with her - which was probably the most painful thing I have ever heard.

Couples counselling turned out, by mutual consent, to be a short-lived thing.
Instead, we decided to meet in a coffee shop or pub once a week to talk through what we thought had gone wrong, and whether we thought we could resolve it. We were still living together, but it meant we could air our thoughts in a neutral place. There were one or two sticky moments to begin with, usually when I made some sarcastic remark about his behaviour, or her, but I soon realised that my looking for a fight didn't move things on.
I had to face up to the fact that I haven't been particularly supportive over the past two years in regard to his job dissatisfaction. And dealing with his resentment made me reassess our relationship. The other woman (late 40s, so no clichéd young starlet here) offered a sympathetic ear away from the 'daily domestic daily grind'.
I think now that through a gradual osmosis, rather than the daily picking-over-the-pieces that we started with, we have built up some mutual respect and compromise. He accepts that bringing his stress about work home brings us all down, so he tries to leave his work baggage at the door, and I, in turn, try not to get too narked when he is occasionally withdrawn.
As for the children, our 18-year-old son knows all the facts and has behaved maturely. His view is that we should do what makes us happy. Our nine-year-old daughter knows nothing (although, admittedly, probably sensed a lot), but I feel that us remaining together is of benefit to her.
At the same time, my husband has made an effort to become more involved with their lives. He returns home earlier occasionally to spend time with them, and I no longer feel like I am, to all intents and purposes, a single parent.
Now, eight months on, we're not entirely out of the woods, but we do spend more time together. He leaves his laptop at the office and we talk, eat together, and share our social time - and as a result we connect more. We have even been able to resume an affectionate, physical relationship.
After a lot of painful honesty, there is definitely less bitterness. While I don't feel the same about him in terms of his integrity, which I mistakenly believed was unimpeachable, I am now more accepting of his flaws.
Naturally, I have moments when I panic and think 'Is he still in touch with her?', especially if he's working late or out in London with a friend, but I have to accept that trying to restrict his movements would only be regressive to us both. And as we become more emotionally reconnected, I worry about this less.
Forgiveness is not an easy thing, and full trust may never come back. But, for now, we both seem prepared to keep working at it - and I like to believe that we will get through it.

After pop star Ronan Keating's affair was exposed, his wronged wife Yvonne has come out and said something many other betrayed women have felt before her.
The reason she is finding it so hard to forgive him is that 'it wasn't just sex, it was emotional'.
In other words, a one-night stand is one thing - in time a woman can forgive a sexual betrayal - but a prolonged liaison is different. You see, if there's one thing a woman can't bear, it's having her emotional security threatened.

Interestingly, when it comes to divorce, the majority of men sue on the grounds of adultery - whereas women sue on the grounds of unreasonable behaviour.
Men can't stand the idea of another man laying claim to his woman's body, while women can't stand the idea of another woman laying claim to her man's heart.
What a woman really minds is discovering that her man is whispering sweet nothings to another woman and bestowing on them the kind of attention that he used to reserve for her.
Attention and affection is what a woman really wants, even if they've been married for ever. So the fact he's giving it out elsewhere is a betrayal amounting to high treason.

As an agony aunt, I receive letters from women who have discovered that their husbands have been having an affair. They almost always say that if it had just been a one-night stand, they could have forgiven it (we're all human).
But it's the length of the relationship and the betrayal involved they can't tolerate. As one woman put it: 'If he can lie straight to my face, day after day, for months, what else is he capable of?'
Again, it is not so much about the sex as the emotional attachment they care about: 'I don't think I can ever trust him again.'

Many women are terrified by their own responses. Would they ever be able to truly feel safe in the relationship again?
As a friend of mine said, after she had discovered her partner had been having an affair for years, not only did she feel like an idiot for not seeing it - and for trusting him completely - she was terrified that she would turn into a suspicious, jealous bitch (her word).
'I'd constantly want to punish him and I don't want to be that sort of person,' she said.
'I would end up not only hating him, but hating myself, too.'
At the same time, if a woman strays, it tends not to be for the lure of a pair of buff biceps and a six-pack, but because she is feeling ignored at home.
The letters I receive as an agony aunt from women secretly confessing to affairs are never about sex.
They are, without exception, about their husband treating them like a piece of furniture.
'He doesn't even notice I exist,' is one complaint. The other (most common) is: 'He doesn't talk to me.'
So when the bloke in the office takes them out for a drink, hangs on their every word and treats them like the most fascinating creature that ever walked the earth, they fall hook, line and sinker. It is the talk that really matters. The sex usually comes later.

Talk, as far as women are concerned, is not cheap. Intimacy is about communication, whether it is verbal or physical and, if the letters I get from women are anything to go by, once verbal communication goes out of the window, sex goes out of the bedroom.
Women need to know they have a unique emotional connection with their partner: that is why they can't bear to have it shattered by another woman.
A friend of mine who is in the feverish honeymoon period of a new love affair, goes into freefall if a day goes by when she doesn't get a text from her boyfriend - no matter how great the sex they have is when they are together.
'I don't ask for much,' she complains. And she is right. It doesn't take much to keep us happy. Which is why some women are prepared to forgive a sexual betrayal - if only their husband still loves them and is willing to work for her forgiveness.
I have even known unusual couples who have an agreement (for whatever reason) that their partner - and that usually means the man - may have sex with other women.
It all works perfectly until their man becomes emotionally involved - because after that it's not actually the exchange of body fluids that matters to us (although we don't much like that, either) it is the exchange of affection.
Perhaps that is why Hillary famously forgave Bill 'I did not have sexual relations with that woman' Clinton - not because she didn't mind a spot of out-of-hours canoodling, but because it was obvious that her husband had no feelings for Monica Lewinsky other than lust.

'That woman' was never any threat to Hillary because she may just as well have been a blow-up sex doll. But what of the reasons for these differences between the sexes?
Why can women forgive sex whereas men can't? The thing is, like it or not, as far as evolution is concerned, we really are built differently.
Men are made to spread their seed as far and wide as possible to ensure the continuation of their genes, while female survival means securing a mate to protect her children.
When there are a few hundred predators stalking the landscape outside the cave, you had better be sure you have got a hunter-gatherer by your side.
What he does when he is out on one of his late night forays is his business, as long as he brings home the bacon. But when he stays out scattering nuts and berries outside another woman's cave, your very existence, as well as that of your children, is in serious danger.
For women, love is not simply a question of champagne and flowers. It serves as a bonding process to keep men by their side, so for them it's an urgent matter of survival.
There is a science to all this, too. Dr David Goldmeier, lead clinician at the Sexual Function Clinic at St Mary's hospital in London, says: 'It's easier for men. We have 15 times the levels of testosterone, so if we see the right female, we're off.'
Whereas women have, what he calls, 'responsive desire'.
In other words, women need to feel an emotional connection to the man in their life - and if they feel that connection has been broken because of another woman, they can struggle to ever forgive their man.
So when Yvonne Keating (or any other woman) says she is more devastated about her husband's emotional than sexual infidelity, she's got science - and evolution - on her side.

HONOLULU — Police are trying to determine who stole a pricey sports car that reportedly belonged to rapper Kanye West, and crashed it into a Honolulu house.
Honolulu police said Tuesday a black Porsche Panamera rammed into the unoccupied house near Waikiki early Saturday, creating a large hole in the side of the garage and crumpling the sedan.
Witnesses reported seeing two men walk away from the car after the crash, and police are still trying to identify the suspects. No arrests have been made.
KITV and the Honolulu Star-Advertiser reported the car is registered to West, who had been in Hawaii while recording a new album.
Police spokeswoman Michelle Yu wouldn't confirm who owns the car, and West's agent didn't immediately return a phone message seeking comment.

Montag and Pratt are stars of the MTV series "The Hills" and have been married since last April. The series is in its final season.
Montag's two-page handwritten filing does not offer any more details on the couple's breakup. An e-mail sent to an MTV spokeswoman seeking comment was not immediately returned.
The filing also doesn't indicate whether Montag intends to file for divorce, which would formally end their marriage.

Maybe we weren't ready for Destiny's Child's jelly, but, my God, we were for Tom Cruise's. And at last, the world got it at the MTV awards this weekend when the Cruisemeister took to the stage and shook his money-maker, giving Jennifer Lopez a run for her jelly-shaking money as the two of them jutted and wiggled to that booty-bumping anthem Get Back by Ludacris for, frankly, no discernible reason.
While some celebrities get more rightwing, plastic or fond of being photographed drunk with college girls as they age, the once-freakishly-controlled Cruise has taken the more unexpected route of becoming a big old extrovert. Perhaps it's the love of a good woman. Perhaps his thetan told him that jumping on Oprah's sofa, reprising a tune from Damn Yankees with Katie Holmes and grinding with J-Lo was the way to reach a higher plain.
Whatever, not since Risky Business has the world been treated to such exposure of the Cruise tush in action as it was this Sunday, interspersed with some distinctly – and I'm using this phrase with caution – camp mincing.
Ostensibly, Cruise was making a homage to his character from Tropic Thunder, replete with fake bald spot and tux'n'trainers combo. But seeing as that film came out two years ago, and judging from the expression of joy on Cruise's face as he high-kicked with Lopez, this was just something he wanted to do.
For devoted Cruise fans, this is all just brilliant. Once it was hard to justify the Cruise love when he was best known offscreen for his rants about psychiatry (anti) and Scientology (pro). But how can anyone not love a 47-year-old man who does hip hop splits while wearing a bald headpiece and clearly doesn't give a damn how he looks? As Ludacris says in the song, "Get back, you don't know me like that." Well Tom, now we do.

No sooner did excerpts from July's British Elle make their way to the Internet on Wednesday than the blogosphere exploded in outrage.

In an offending quote, Twilight saga star Kristen Stewart compared paparazzi photos of herself to images of a woman being raped. Almost immediately, everyone from fans to spokespeople for rape victims' advocacy organizations were publicly criticizing the actress.

"I really made an enormous mistake – clearly and obviously," Stewart, currently in Korea to promote the new installment of the Twilight series Eclipse, tells PEOPLE exclusively. "And I'm really sorry about my choice of words."

Stewart, 20, is not known as one to mince words. "I've made stupid remarks before, and I've always reasoned: 'Whatever. They can think what they want,' " she says.

But in this instance, the Los Angeles-born actress feels compelled to address the situation. " 'Violated' definitely would have been a better way of expressing the thought," she notes.

In fact, the issue of violence against women is one that has been close to Stewart since playing a victim of rape in the 2004 film Speak. She has done public service announcements for the advocacy group RAINN and for SOC.

The irony of the situation in which Stewart now finds herself is not lost on the actress. "People thinking that I'm insensitive about this subject rips my guts out. I made a big mistake."

On Friday, the spokeswoman for RAINN issued a statement saying, "We appreciate Kristen Stewart's sincere apology regarding these comments. RAINN looks forward to continuing our work with Kristen to raise awareness and ensure that all victims are connected with the care they deserve through the National Sexual Assault Hotlines."

Meanwhile Jen Bunney insists the drama is real.

"This isn't a joke," she told the LA Times.
Which isn't to say Heidi is so upset she can't film with Spencer.
"She's not a ball on the floor crying or anything," Jen said of Heidi. "I don't see how he wouldn't be on the show, given what they're going through. To what extent he'll be on, we don't know yet."
The Shannon twins, Hugh Hefner's former girlfriends, are also moving in for the summer, according to Heidi's Twitter.

LOS ANGELES — The husband of Brittany Murphy was found dead at his Los Angeles home late Sunday, five months after the Hollywood actress died, police said.

The preliminary cause of the death of British screenwriter Simon Monjack is natural causes, police spokesman Sgt. Louie Lozano told The Associated Press.

"We concluded there no signs of foul play or any criminal activity involved," said Sgt. Alex Ortiz, another police spokesman.

Firefighters responding to an emergency call from a woman at 9:40 p.m. found the 39-year-old Monjack dead at the Hollywood Hills residence, police spokesman Sgt. Louie Lozano said. Ortiz said he didn't know who called. Monjack and Murphy had shared their home with Murphy's mother, Sharon.

Ortiz said that the Los Angeles Coroner's Office was taking over the investigation because criminal activity had been ruled out, and would provide more details later on the death and circumstances surrounding it.

At his wife's funeral in December, a visibly emotional Monjack talked about their relationship and called her his best friend and soul mate. The two married in 2007.

He had said that they had been planning a family and contemplating a move to New York.

Murphy, best known for her major roles in "Clueless," "Girl Interrupted," and "8 Mile" in 2002, died Dec. 20, at age 32 after collapsing in her home. The Los Angeles County coroner's office concluded Murphy's death was accidental, but likely preventable.

The coroner's report said that the medications found in her system were consistent with treatment of a cold or respiratory infection. Monjack and Murphy's mother had reported the actress was ill with flulike symptoms in the days before her death.
